Top 4 Favorite Summer Home Styling Books

I love design, art, interior decorating but I make styling choices very slowly because I am so deliberate and picky. This often drives my family crazy. I also like a combo of styles - mainly bohemian mixed with modern. I don't like anything that feels overly formal, traditional, stuffy, overly industrial/commerical. It's also important to me to consider the environmental impact of my choices and also the toxicity of materials. So as you can see there is alot involved with styling at my house! As I look to inspiration this summer on a few projects I have, here are a handful of books I refer back too for inspiration. These four books below are actually on my coffee table right now that are giving me inspiration this summer.

And speaking of, here are the design/decor projects I am working on this summer:

-I desparately need a new bed. It has been 10+ years, but I want one that is eco friendly non toxic but ALSO very comfortable. Not a ton of options and the main issue is that the organic mattress showrooms are in NYC mainly. I have narrowed it down to Birch and Avocado so far and will just need to bite the bullet, pick one and try it out!

-Working on an office redo, trying to only use second hand furniture or materials I have in my house. Right now it's a hodge podge of pieces and I am trying to pull the room together. I will send before and after picks when it's picture worth. Right now it is definitely not!

There is so much more to talk about on this topic but in full transparency I am trying to assess how deep I go into design/decor on this blog. The content focus was intended to be healing. good living, wellness. I feel that creativity, art, design, loving your interiors spaces, and beauty are all a part of feeling whole and living a good life regardless of your health status. So as I build a reader base (hopefully) I would love input on this topic!

That's it for now! xoxo
